Michael T Except for the movie director part I was this kid in 1977. I have never felt so at home watching a film in my life. This film has so much heart. I only wish I could see more from this director. He has guts and a raw honestly that is so lacking in film today. Thank you for a wild ride I will never forget. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/26/24 Full Review Tyler D It's a fun story with fun jokes and references to 2001: A Space Odyssey... but it could've been 15 minutes shorter. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review sarah d I don't know why this was #1 on rotten tomatoes. It's not funny, it's not ironic, all the jokes are metaphorical, and there is no sense of humor at all. Perhaps as a younger person of 25 my sense of humor requires more formal delivery… but I see nothing wrong with it. Probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/24 Full Review Robert R I love great little films that are sometimes passed by and make us feel better about ourselves after watching them. This is a great little film.AAA+++ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/13/23 Full Review McIntosh A ( 5-25-77 ) I give this a 5 star and some. I think it's sad for some of the 2&3 Star peoples. It tells me there unhappy in life. This was for sure an inspirational movie. I sent one clip to all of my family. All 6 had smiley faces and wanted to know what movie it was. We need more movies like this of real life ❤️🤣😀😂😃🤓 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/14/23 Full Review Peter C What a labor of love! There's a ton of superlatives that could be laid on this wonderful film... but you're better off just watching it for yourself! Phil Hoad Guardian Meet the Fabelmans’ annoying little brother – in a good way. Rated: 4/5 Apr 27, 2023 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Overlong but fast-paced, the film is packed with witty details, outrageously low-budget effects and a continuous stream of nutty teen antics that leads to an epic odyssey into movie magic. Rated: 3.5/5 May 9, 2023 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Daley, in almost every scene, acquits himself well, and Steve Coulter shines as long-suffering best friend Bill. Rated: 3/5 May 1, 2023 Full Review Martin Unsworth Starburst While it moves the narrative into the more conventional coming-of-age drama territory, there’s still a large foot in geekdom.
