christopher c. m Turner Horatio Longfellow is an aging stage actor is forced to hire an actor movie star Blaise Remington for his Chekhov play. That's it, that's the whole movie. Ignore the fact one of the poster has a woman with a gun, a helicopter and exploding Big Ben, all of which NEVER happens in the movie. It's Turner and Blaise disagreeing what the play should be. By the way, the way Turner talks about movies when was he a stage actor? The 1910s when stage actors snubbed their nose as movies and only the stage was the only "legitimate" theater? Seriously, he's a massive dick and he's the only we're suppose to root for as they make Blaise just a massive idiot. Maybe since writer/director Carl Bessai hates movies this much, maybe this should have best a play not a movie. Because guess what? It's not a movie. It's unlikable, ugly, boring and just plain unwatchable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
