The central concept is cute and has charm, even if it never rises above genre familiarity. Where the film struggles most is in its screenplay. The writing feels uneven, with several character arcs introduced and then quietly abandoned. Sibling banter lacks the emotional punch it aims for, and the father’s sneaky subplot never fully pays off. These gaps create a sense of missed opportunities that hold the story back. Despite its flaws, the cast commits fully and helps keep the story moving. Ultimately, A Cowboy Christmas Romance is a pleasant holiday distraction that works in the moment but fades quickly once it ends. Nicely festive.
