Audience Member Both with color and dialog, the Brazilian take on Chaplin's "Modern Times" is, ironically, most noteworthy for its soundtrack. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member When was the last time I saw a silent film? Who knows? This modern-day silent film was such a treat. When words are taken away, all other cinematic aspects (acting, light, music, etc) are enhanced. This was a visual delight that somehow balanced slapstick comedy with harsh social commentary.
