Danish factory worker Viggo (Erik Clausen) loses his job when management seeks out cheaper labor abroad. Rather than seeking a job, Viggo buries himself in his obsessions -- taking care of his garden and his pet fish. Soon, he falls into an affair with a housewife, Karen (Anne Marie Helger), and jets off to Spain with her for a tryst, telling his wife (Helle Ryslinge) he's going on a business trip.
