Audience Member What a story! And those plot twists! Combining a story about a haunting with a story of love in such a cool manner. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I expected this movie to be a good-old fashioned gothic scare fest about the notorious Borley Rectory. It didn't quite deliver on that front but what it did deliver, wasn't all bad. A mysterious, charming con-man turns up at the rectory where a compassionate vicar lets him stay for a while. However, the vicar's wife is what you could describe as a 'good sort' and sure enough, she begins a steamy affair with the stranger. Seriously, how long could this go on under the same roof in a house with a paranormal history? Well, you'll have to watch it to find out. It's not very scary and the thrills are very scarce. None of the documented paranormal occurences at the Rectory are used but hey, it's a solid film anyway.
