Jessica (Jessika Van) is a young, up-and-coming filmmaker in Hollywood who has made a name for herself directing Christmas movies. But when handsome network executive Christopher (Josh Swickard) shows up threatening to halt production on her latest movie, Jessica's assistant, Reena (Anissa Borrego), points out the irony: Jessica isn't just trying to save her Christmas movie, she's actually living in one! Jessica must now juggle all the classic tropes--actors falling in and out of love, a wayward elf dog, and her own stirring romantic feelings for her perceived nemesis--in order to get her movie and her life to their happy endings. In a sea of Pretty Little Liars and Hallmark hunks that my heart already held a candle for, it was nice to be surprised by some new talent whose eyes are constantly sparkling with Christmas magic.

I thought this was a cut above most cookie cutter Christmas movies. The talent is so gorgeous and enjoyable and the story takes some nifty little twists and turns that make it worth watching. Pour the cocoa and snuggle in for some fun.

This was a great Hallmark-type Christmas film with a movie-about-making-a-movie angle where the filmmakers are working on a Christmas movie at a studio that is about to shut down their Christmas movie making division due to budget cuts and new management. It's kind of sappy and unrealistic, and very formulaic, but I loved all the backlot settings and the kind of backstage atmosphere of it all.

This movie surprised me. It was disjointed and not fun to watch. Perhaps for a 5th. grade play, but not for a major movie on Max. Forget it unless you want to be bored out of your mind.

at the same time second degree and straight forward Xmas movie which dissects the Christmas myth and embraces it. Very fun to watch as it both titillates your intellect and reaches to your emotions. Actors are perfect with a twinkle in their eyes ( like "I don't believe in this ..) and going all the way for it (feels good!!)
