This was actually a good romantic comedy/tearjerker. Seriously, I laughed and I cried (a lot of the latter by the end). I rooted for certain characters and got frustrated by them as well. It's a well written film (for the most part). Moreorless realistic - deals with situations that are very genuine. And the characters were written in such a way that they were all different and yet still believable. If this story were real, it would make total sense that there would be different reactions to what was happening, and that's exactly why the characters are all unique in that aspect. It was quite beautiful really. Sweet and sad. All in all, I really enjoyed this. Give it a shot. What did this movie teach me? God can take the form of your favourite movie star. Curious to see who mine would be.

Seriously people....why did you all dislike this movie so much? It was sweet, heartwarming, and just plain enjoyable. Granted, I adore Kate Hudson, and Gael Bernal, which is just a small part of why I found this movie very, very nice. The entire movie was very well done, really good cast, and had a sweet (but sad) storyline. A rather nicely made movie overall, in my opinion.

This film is better than it looks as Kate Hudson is a sheer force if life. What happens to her is made all the more powerful because of her performance. It made me cry! The reactions of family and friends are incredibly realistic. The only bum note is Whoopi Goldberg...

A annoying charactor from Holmes( yet another) and yes she has cancer but like 50/50 this is trying to be a amusing look with serious elements, but nowhere near as good, 50/50 had edgy humour and great jokes, this is holmes tryinmg to do something she cant do.
