Jeff B This was genuinely one of the worst movies that I have ever seen. I rarely write reviews, but I'm only writing this in the hope that you don't waste a night watching this terrible movie. The script and acting were just bad. This movie wasn't scary or suspenseful at all. The plot either didn't exist or just made no sense. None of the characters get developed, there is almost no point to the movie. It is such a poorly written and poorly acted indy movie. I watched it because there was a fairly high audience score, but after watching the movie I really think those reviews are fake because I don't understand how you could watch this movie and leave a good review. From the start it is a confusing, convoluted mish-mash of horror tropes from other famous "haunted house" movies....except this was VERY hard to follow with random ghosts, dolls, possessions...so many we thought there would a psychic clown and Hockey mask killer thrown in. We counted off Amityville, The Ring, The Conjuring, Sixth Sense, Annabelle, Paranormal Activity,...so many blatant, cheap rip off scenes it just became unwatchable. Then the credits come up with EVERYTHING UNSOLVED. It was all a dream! No...wait they probably just ran out of money. Give this a miss. The scene in the basement was completely absurd, and whoever wrote the script for that movie ought to be banned from future writing. Next time, stick to something that is partially entertaining.
