Katie Cassidy certainly put on quite a performance, embodying this highly polarizing woman and bringing out the layers that have led people to be frustrated and put off by her, yet deeply empathetic toward her. Go to Full Review

On Your Case M @FredSanders25 Jan 12 This movie was very disjointed and vague. The character, Karen Read, comes off as very unsympathetic and concerned with her appearance. She even does her hair and makeup while waiting for the cartoon villain police to come arrest her. The film is trying to tell us that the police have done something wrong, maybe, but never get past a handful of gross texts randomly thrown in there, which don't really lend to Karen being falsely accused. The movie also trys to tell us that her accquittal is due to some pasty looking guy in what looks like a basement taking up her cause on social media, but again, doesn't really show us how and isn't exactly the exoneration you'd expect for the protagonist. The acting is terrible, and I would love to know what FPS this was shot in. All in all, its a LifeTime movie, but this one doesn't have the melodramatic charm that others do. They were kinder to Jodi Arias, though I suspect Karen Read is in good company on LifeTime. See more Sarah H @Sarah_Villanova Jan 12 Its pretty obvious early on that the main character was guilty. I would have preferred more ambiguity in the storyline. The lead actress was good with a script that lacked in depth of character. That said, If her intent was to portray a spoiled white chick, mission accomplished. Not horrible, but definitely not good. Prepare to lose interest within 30 minutes.
