A.A. P This is an 80s action cult classic! Ignore these negative reviews and check it out! It should have been a franchise. Carl Weathers is awesome in lead role! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/24 Full Review Steve D Carl Weathers is great for this kind of thing but the script is ridiculous, Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review StephenPaul C LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 36 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Featuring the actor Carl Weathers as a Detective!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/04/23 Full Review Jenna F It's soo 80s, Awesome and most importantly not boring action movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/24/23 Full Review Josh G Off this one hurt an all star cast in a 80's music video scattered with over the top and dull action sequences. Almost unwatchable and nothing redeemable about this film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I wanted to love Craig R. Baxley's Action Jackson. The cast is stacked, with a great Carl Weathers as the hero. Unfortunately the script is way to try hard. All it is talking in cliches, quips and one liners. For a movie called Action Jackson there is not a lot of action for a 90 minute film, what action there is though it is shot and looks great, for the most part. So much bad and boring dialogue, if the script was only slightly better this would've been a franchise. The script let Baxley, Stone, Vanity, Bill Duke, Craig T. Nelson and most importantly Carl Weathers down. He should've been a star. On the plus side we got to absolutely gorgeous women in topless shots, also Weathers all greased up flexing his muscles. Unfortunately in the end I came away slightly disappointed in Action Jackson. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Walter Goodman New York Times Crashing through are several raffish characters whose acting doesn't get in the way of the stunts. May 21, 2003 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Action Jackson is a movie where some of the parts are good, but none of them fit and a lot of them stink. Rated: 1/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Joe Leydon The Moving Picture Show This is slambang escapism, rude and rambunctious, impure and simple. As such, it’s the best Saturday night movie since "Lethal Weapon." Feb 2, 2024 Full Review Ángel Luis Inurria El Pais (Spain) One more example of an insignificant movie made to entertain those who like forceful punches and accurate shootings. [Full Review in Spanish] Mar 27, 2020 Full Review Richard Freedman Newhouse News Service [ Weathers] shows here what one had long suspected from his Rocky debut: an attractive personality with more than enough charisma to fill the screen in a worthier film than this. Rated: 2/4 Nov 15, 2019 Full Review Justin Brown Medium Popcorn It's cuckoo bananas, crazy. It's entertaining at the same time, because it's so crazy...but it is not a good movie, and I know this might be blasphemy, but Carl Weathers actually lacks a lot of charisma here...
