Griff S I usually like Tom Arnold and he was the biggest name in this film although not the star — so I decided to watch it…This movie was absolutely HORRIBLE! And this is from a guy who’s fav’ all-time movie is Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me. So I like wacky movies. I really don’t know how someone can make a movie as bad as Adventures of the Naked Umbrella? Tom Arnold: WHY ON EARTH did you read this script and decide to be in this?????? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review Jarosław L Underappreciated movie which is set to become cult classic. Execution of the story is perfect: it begins as psychodelic trip with surrealist story line, but ends as a powerful drama open for interpretation. At first I watched half engaged, but at some point I become captivated and couldn't move eyes from the screen. I certainly appreciate how you can read the story. On literal level its just a crime story told by unreliable narrator. On another level main character may be a metaphor for any of us, lost in a half-mad society in which most people are on drugs, legally or not. The house on fire can easily be allegory for climate catastrophe unfolding right now, before our blind eyes, and then the movie becomes a moralitet asking the question of responsibility. Gerald Brunskill may be obscure director with little experience, but he showed his talent and I will be watching closely his further career. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/14/25 Full Review Les N Yeah...what did I just watch??? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review Isabel D The ending was a complete surprise! I really enjoyed the film and was so captivated by the storyline, I definitely recommend it and will watch it again Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/09/24 Full Review jon g I cannot explain why I was mesmerized by this film, although I do not really understand it, or know what it was about. Most of the actors were amazing, but none were bad. While it seems like a 'weird for weirds' sake' film, there was a quality to it that kept me watching. I think this is one to just let it wash over you, enjoy the experience, and not think too much about it. I cannot explain why something in it touched me, but if you like obscure, strange, inexplicable films, give it a try. It is worthy of note that I DO NOT like most "weird films," which I find pretentious and boring. This one just stood out to me. The behind the scenes work was also very well done, so congrats to the director, cameraman, editor etc. Big hats off to Jeremy Davies for his performance though. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/17/24 Full Review Megan B I highly recommend the movie "Adventures of Naked Umbrella" It is a twisted love story that combines elements of romance, comedy, and sci-fi. The film is filled with unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It challenges the senses and offers a unique and thought-provoking experience. Overall, it is a must-watch for those looking for a movie that is both entertaining and stimulating. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
