Tired of being ignored while her husband, Rick (Dennis Morgan), circles the globe -- and eyes the ladies -- as a war correspondent, Sue Marberry (Merle Oberon) obtains a quick and easy divorce. Rick returns to New York, hoping to win Sue back, which looks impossible since she has a new fiancé, Owen Wright (Ralph Bellamy). Undeterred, Rick pretends to date fellow scribe Irene Malcom (Rita Hayworth) so he can get Sue jealous and back into his arms. There's just one problem: Irene falls for Rick.

Russ G Dec 15 I tuned in to see Rita Hayworth but the strained attempt at what they called "comedy" got tiresome fast. I was out half an hour into the 90-some minute running time. It is about a married reporter's assignments carry him all over the world, which gives him ample opportunity to put the moves on the local females. Merle Oberon and Rita Hayworth give good performances. The screenplay is entertaining but a little slow in places. Lloyd Bacon did an alright job directing this movie.
