Carrington S @RT97516098 Jun 20 I have always loved this movie so much ever since I was younger. Me and my mom went to go see it at Southlake movie theaters on Mount Zion Road and it was amazing! Loved it from beginning to end! And Jaden Smith's acting in the movie was excellent too! Definitely a 10 out of 10 film for me for sure. Yes there could have been improvements here and there with the special effects and I personally wish that Will Smith was Mobile in the movie so that him and his son could have been acting alongside together instead of being separated the whole time. But even with that being said, the movie was fire and I loved the fight scenes in it too. I don't care about the overly negative reviews of this movie. I enjoyed it and that's all that matters. Not sure what’s going on in this movie but it’s probably one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I enjoyed for the reasons that most of the critics scored it very low. I like the themes of personal growth in his films, they can be a little long winded sometimes, however I find films that you leave feeling a bit better about things in general should be celebrated, not ridiculed. It's always awesome when someone lacking raw talent and skill gets a leading roll just because their parents are in the industry. Jaden Smith cut in front of the line and in his debut, utterly failed. Doesn't help that it was a M Night film, that is unfortunate but he had access to opportunities that many simply never get, so In his failure I feel no sympathy. The story was poorly written and that's not shocking. M Night was once a great director and now, mostly it is all bad. This one was really bad. Plot holes galore and simply put it's boring. I feel nothing for the characters and their problems nor is there enough time to create the narrative that they are attempting to spin to the audience. And in the end it's nothing of value occuring the entire time. It's a slog to watch and not worth the time. It doesn't have the same emotion as I, Robot or I Am Legend, but it's still a very solid film. Don't let these other reviews fool you, just give it a shot.
