Dyer has forged a career around screen violence which can leave a very unpleasant aftertaste. But this is a relatively conventional Second World War story about seizing Nazi radar technology from occupied Norway and he's all the better for it. And they use Danny Dyer to play a Commando, he's about as far from being able to act a Commando as you can get I would say, B film with very poor acting. But there were a few nits; eg. taking BOTH dog tags from the dead fellow. No: only one - the other stays with him. And why were the Nazis the only guys that figured out snow camouflage? All the commandos were running around in jungle camo IN THE SNOW. Interesting that they were all using US Thompson submachine guns (or the German subs - didn't the Brits make one?). But...the ending...what happened to the Major? And Mac the Sergeant? Are we to assume the "saved the last bullet for themselves"? Pretty limp ending. See more Read all reviews
