Synopsis
Director Malina (Slawa Kwasniewska) casts well-known but aging actor Krzysztof (Tadeusz Huk) in the lead role of a hotly anticipated play. Sensing the opportunity to revitalize his career, the actor annoyingly insinuates himself into every aspect of the production. Fearful of losing Krzystzof's drawing power, the director gives in to his pushiness. At the same time, however, the actor's wife, Anka (Halina Łabonarska), who also landed a part, finds her role in the production diminishing.
