Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) She doesn’t name names, but the details are vivid and the punchlines smart. It’s tightly assembled and comes with some reassuring guardrails. Oct 17, 2024 Full Review Alison Herman Variety Not all divorcées will find themselves as sought-after as Wong did in the immediate aftermath, and almost none will turn their saga into an account this entertaining. “Single Lady” is far from a how-to guide, but it’s a riveting testimonial. Oct 8, 2024 Full Review Bill Brioux Brioux.tv Wong’s utter lack of vulnerability and her cheeky swagger is cheered by the theatre audience because it is so brazen and because it sounds different... Oct 21, 2024 Full Review Anne Brodie What She Said her passionate parsing of oral sex every which way for at least 40 minutes. She’s one tough cookie. Her routines are meant to shock but I find her bravery admirable and hard-won insights illuminating to a degree. Rated: 3/4 Oct 11, 2024 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider This hour is all about Wong’s glow-up, both personally and professionally... Oct 10, 2024 Full Review Romey Norton Film Focus Online Single Lady isn’t a how-to guide, but a fun testimonial of a middle-aged divorcee millionaire. Her style of comedy is fun, vibrant, and tailored to a more female audience, but there are plenty of guys who’ll appreciate her jokes and insight. Don T Loved her first two specials, but this one didn't hit the mark. Imagine an hour of a wealthy frat dude graphically describing all the chicks he banged and then dumped...now replace the frat dude with a wealthy middle aged Asian woman and you have the entire special. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/15/24 Full Review Gareth D Recycled jokes, crude without a real story, repetitive and slow. Felt like attending her therapy session vs being entertained. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Dodgers' F Don't waste your time. This show is a comedian mailing it in for a payday. Unless you want to hear the same "Eat my pussy" jokes over and over again for an hour. The entire show is saying that and about getting dicked by almost anyone. Lame, sophmoric, frat humor. She can and has done far better. You've been warned about watching this garbage. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/05/24 Full Review Honey W Loved her other specials, couldn't finish this one and only cringed through what I did watch. It was one theme of lots of sex after divorce, super boring and kind of shameful to watch. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/30/24 Full Review Shawn D Normally, I enjoy Ali Wong but for some reason, this one just wasn't very funny or entertaining for me. Whole set, I got a divorce and it made me unhappy, so I decided just to get lots of sex to fill my empty void. Oh, and now I'm dating Bill Hader (not said but implied). Sex jokes can be very entertaining but that's all it was about. Maybe the ladies can relate better to this because they seem to be the only ones loving this routine. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/29/24 Full Review J N I am a huge fan! I had to turn it off because I couldn't take the cringe hitting me. I kept waiting for the joke. Instead it was a 50 minute rant about being a raunchy divorcee. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/27/24 Full Review Read all reviews
