Audience Member ALIEN PRESENCE is truly a gift to lovers of awful movies, especially those who especially enjoy the uncanniness of someone like Neil Breen. A good quarter of the movie is taken up by establishing shots of the surrounding natural environment, but in no way artfully shot, just slow pans of the same trees over and over and over again. Somehow, the serenely rustling trees and achingly slow-moving are the most compelling and coherent parts of this flick, which was only shot in four days, according to Greg Sestero, who watched the film for the first time during what might just be the theatrical world premiere tonight at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin. Sestero, who is here just as wooden and lifeless as the trees, is nonetheless still the biggest draw of the movie-that is, unless you enjoy creepily voyeuristic and homoerotic shower scenes featuring what must be an OCD character soaplessly washing his chest again and again and again. Honestly, the movie is so bad, it might as well be called THIRD ENCOUNTERS OF THE TURD KIND. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
