Stephen A Campbell Shines in a Cosmic Catastrophe: 'Alien Apocalypse' Misses Orbit. "Alien Apocalypse" orbits the cinematic universe with all the grace of a crash-landing UFO. Bruce Campbell's presence saves this intergalactic disaster from becoming a total cosmic catastrophe. Picture "Planet of the Apes" meets a horde of head-chomping woodworms playing grasshopper dress-up in a landscape chewed by chaos. The script tries for witty banter but loses itself in a void of believable characters. Direction? Standard, occasionally nap-inducing. The cast, apart from Campbell, falls flatter than a deflated spaceship tire. It's a comedy that might have missed the memo. For Campbell aficionados, there's a flicker of joy. For others, cosmic quarantine's the better option. Four-and-a-half stars, generously speaking! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/22/23 Full Review CT 8 I love Bruce ‘king of the b-movies' Campbell, but even he couldn't save this mess. The movie was so bad I was actually praying for the apocalypse….. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member As much as we all love Bruce, this was a particularly terrible movie. Couldn't watch the whole thing. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This happens to be the worst Bruce Campbell movie I've ever seen. He did just fine acting. But this you can tell was a very low budget movie. You can tell the aliens were fake and the whole movie was just corny. Besides Bruce the acting was awful. Why would they stick hi in such a crappy movie like this. It was so bad it made me laugh Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Campybl good Sci Fi, a fun one Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member I mainly watched this for Renee O'Connor as I'm a die-hard Xena fan but she gets damseled and is not present for half the movie. Regardless, with some popcorn and daiquiris, it's quite the laugh! Definitely something to watch on a bad movie night with friends.
