J. R. Jones Chicago Reader Despite this high-minded approach, however, the documentary's best moments are pure tabloid. Nov 9, 2017 Full Review Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times Kudos to director Kelly Richmond Pope for applying just the right mix of "What the Heck?" whimsy and respectful, serious reporting to this incredible tale. Rated: 3.5/4 Nov 9, 2017 Full Review Lisa Trifone Third Coast Review Where All the Queen's Horses stumbles is as it revels in "talking shop" and splitting hairs that only fellow numbers folks will appreciate. In going deep into the questions of who and how, it loses why that keeps the whole thing centered. May 28, 2019 Full Review Leigh Paatsch Herald Sun (Australia) Here's a compelling new true-crime doco which puts a whole new spin on the term "creative accounting". Rated: 3/5 Jul 20, 2018 Full Review Linda Cook Quad City Times (Davenport, IA) One of the best documentaries of 2017 was created not by a career filmmaker, but by a career academic. And it's terrific. Rated: 4/4 Nov 7, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member An entertaining and informative documentary about a topic that should be dry and boring. This was anything but that. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Scary tale of what can happen when your elected officials think they are above the law. Wow! Ronald Reagan must be turning in his grave Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Chris J So I remember seeing this trailer last year while watching Loving Vincent. It really struck home being as though it took place less than 3 hours from me in the town of Dixon, IL. I had heard of this, but had no clue how much she truly got away with. Having embezzled of $53,000,000 from the town, she single handedly became the largest case in the nation. I love documentaries because of what I wall away with, unfortunately I didn't get to walk away from this with much more than what was in the synopsis. While it wasn't necessarily bad, I just felt like I wanted more from the story. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/19 Full Review Audience Member Great movie! lOVE THE DIRECTOR Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow great film to view as an accountant.
