Jim Schembri jimschembri.com It might seem like a perfectly nutty, off-the-wall zom-com with all the requisite gore, dismemberment and fountains of blood you are entitled to expect. And it is. Yet it's an affectionate satire about the passion that drives budding young filmmakers. Rated: 3/5 Nov 26, 2024 Full Review Tina Kakadelis Beyond the Cinerama Dome All You Need Is Blood is infectious, a zom drom that may not have a pulse on a zombie technicality, but is brimming with life. Nov 14, 2024 Full Review Terry Sherwood Film Threat Lots of spraying blood, action, and wisecracking dialogue reminiscent of the infamous American Guinea Pig film series. You have one lovely, fun film to chow down your popcorn. Rated: 8/10 Nov 13, 2024 Full Review Norman Gidney HorrorBuzz Had the film had a better sense of story beats, the use of characters, and cinematic structure, what is an admittedly charming and hilarious love letter to indie filmmaking would have been great. Rated: 6/10 Nov 12, 2024 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review The movie’s thin metafictional conceit is less memorable than the fast-paced energy and goofball humor throughout, which is delightfully unpredictable. George T Destined to become a cult classic, like George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead. This film is a unique and fresh take on the zombie genre. You can tell the people involved with this movie put a lot of hard work and heart into this film. It’s became one of my favorite zombie movies and I highly recommend watching it if you’re looking for some fun and gore. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/29/24 Full Review Jay N I felt that the pacing was off in some parts. Some things went too fast, while others seemed to drag on. With that said, it didn’t stop me from having fun as I watched it. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and that helps you suspend your belief. The director knew exactly what he was making and it was done well. The over the top practical effects were clearly inspired by films such as Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead and as a fan of those movies, it felt very nostalgic. While this is clearly a horror-comedy, at its core it’s a film about kids chasing their dreams and really just a love letter to the art of film making. Anybody who enjoys creating art will appreciate this film. Logan Riley did well and it’s always great to see Eddie Griffin but for me? Mena Suvari steals the show. Good laughs, charm and practical gore make this film worth the watch. Definitely recommend! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review Nora S Ok so I picked this movie because it seemed like a good Spooky/Halloween vibes film I was looking for but it ended up being so much better than that!! Holy crap, so many good moments. This movie had a little of everything. A coming of age story, silly, funny, great music score and a story that you’ll wanna see all the way through! The special effects were so rad to see, especially in this day and age of using CGI and all that boring stuff that can make movies feel too modern. I loved the vintage vibes I got from this movie, it was set in the 90s and as a 90s kid myself I was definitely feeling sentimental. Oh and Men’s Suvari was hilarious! I hope she had a renaissance the way Jennifer Coolidge did. And Fred from stranger things 4 was incredible!! I hope this kicks off a movie career for him as I would love to see him in more feature films. The only complaint I have about this movie is that it’s not playing in a theatre near me. This is a movie for the big screen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review Dr S Divine writing and direction! Perfect story structure. Amazing cast! If you love Jenkem, you’ll love this movie! Someone give this kid a Marvel movie to direct! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews
