Audience Member A mediocre Dutch romantic comedy in which most relationships are rather sad, except for the one between Kiki and Prince Valentine/Black Pete. I had to see this movie because of the inevitable Saint Nicholas theme. Rated 3/5 Stars •  Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member To start of with the biggest spoiler: although the movie is about Sinterklaas, it's not too appropriate for the kids that eagerly await his presents every year. That being out of the way: This is a very sappy relationshippy unrealistic chick flicky movie. It's also funny, and likeable. It deals with a lot of different storylines, mostly centering on love and relationship troubles, and all of these storylines of course get their happy ending, awwww. The two biggest ones focus on a woman who's finding her prince on a white horse and on an old man just needing someone to talk to. For its genre, I'd say this might be a recommendable movie even for international audiences that don't speak Dutch and don't know who Sinterklaas is.
