Lael Loewenstein Los Angeles Times Alone With Her is a pretty engaging tale, and it's refreshing to see a well-acted, suspenseful drama made without a bloated budget or a lot of bloodletting. Rated: 3.5/5 May 26, 2007 Full Review Richard Roeper Ebert & Roeper Alone With Her plays like an extended voyeur video with nothing new to say about hidden cameras or stalkers or anything. Feb 5, 2007 Full Review Joshua Rothkopf Time Out Even a conventional, albeit cynical, ending can't ruin such effective mood-making. Rated: 4/6 Feb 3, 2007 Full Review Ryan Stewart Cinematical What sets the film a notch above standard genre fare is its ability to ask bigger questions about a stalker like Doug. John A A 2000's indie that serves as a cinematic grandson to John Carpenter's Halloween (although that film is far more intense). Hanks' and Talancon's performances make the voyeuristic visuals fairly fascinating to witness. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Laughable thriller that takes itself way too seriously. When your father is one of the most beloved actors of all time, you are automatically going to be climbing a mountain in flip flops. Decent premise, bad execution. But I do applaud Hanks' choice to move behind the camera into documentaries (Nos Amis) because his acting is high school production level. At best. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/17/20 Full Review Audience Member This was a very crazy movie. This movie was a great movie I definitely recomend you check it out. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/19 Full Review Audience Member Stalker, voyeur movie that starts promising but in the end doesn't really deliver. It is better than some of these low budget found footage films but ultimately I found it unsatisfying and more importantly, unbelievable. Especially near the end when the girl would have and could have easily ran out of the house. The voyeur in me did enjoy the scene with her self pleasuring scene and that's about it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member A deeply disturbing yet compulsively watchable examination of obsession and surveillance. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Defiantly wins creepy stalker movie of the year! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
