American Honey is undeniably gorgeous. It's drenched in color; it drips with it like, yes, honey. In the center of it all is Sasha Lane as Star, just as bright (if not brighter), and impossible not to watch.

American Honey is hypnotic in a way that sneaks up on you. It doesn’t feel like a movie — it feels like being dropped into someone else’s life and just riding along, watching everything play out with no filter. Sasha Lane is unreal, completely natural, and the whole cast feels lived-in. The film nails the feeling of youth: the chaos, the drifting, the freedom that doesn’t even feel like freedom sometimes. The soundtrack hits, the visuals pull you in, and the whole thing moves like a road trip you don’t want to end. It’s immersive, honest, and it sticks with you without ever trying to be deep

I sold magazines from 2003-2006 travel like this thru the entire U.S. this movie brings the best moments I lived and shows how fun and crazy it was at times. A great film.

I thought this was such an important movie. Makes you think about where we are as a society and what has gone wrong. Meth, lack of education, imbalance of wealth. Depressing in so many aspects because this movie represents what is really going on in America. Having said that, I am glad I watched it. The beauty of nature was captured in the midst of all the ugliness of poverty. So many of our children are throwaways and they are just trying to survive. This movie is 9 years old, but it is so timely now.

A long boring movie with not much of a story line. Not a movie for young adults. Frontal male nudity, intercourse, drinking and drug use. Didn't see what critic's saw in it. More of a Fart than Art...
