Dr. Molly Reese's life is shattered when a car accident claims the lives of her entire family. Seeking solace, she attends grief counseling but struggles to cope with the loss, unraveling under the weight of stress and insomnia. Despite her fragile mental state, she returns to work at the hospital, where a series of unfortunate events, including the death of a mobster named Vinny "The Fist" Lombardi, lead the mob to believe she's involved in foul play. As suspicions grow, Giovanni "Johnny Blades" Romano, the mob boss, targets Molly for revenge, believing she's been paid to kill his men. Meanwhile, Mikey "The Bull" Vito, a compassionate mobster, becomes Molly's protector, convinced of her innocence. However, a series of events, including a break-in at her home and a near-miss with another mobster, force Molly to go on the run, afraid of losing her medical license or facing criminal charges. As Molly grapples with her new reality, she discovers a newfound thrill in killing, especially those who seek to harm her. She begins training herself in combat and weapon use, transforming into a relentless hunter. With each mobster she eliminates, Molly descends further into darkness, embracing her new identity as a cold, calculated killer. In a final showdown, Molly confronts the mobster who initially saved her, completing her transformation and emerging as a formidable force against the mob. But as she embraces her new role, she realizes that her descent into darkness has come at a cost, leaving her isolated and alone, with no way back to the life she once knew. Final Scene: Molly stands alone in the aftermath of the final confrontation, a lone figure in a world she no longer recognizes. She has become the very thing she once feared, a killer driven by grief and revenge, forever changed by her descent into darkness.

Kolo P American Woman, directed by Artie Seigel, is a moody and slow-burning character study that blends a bit of psychological drama with a revenge thriller. Based around on a grieving doctor pushed into a violent criminal underworld, the film shines most in its raw emotional tone and the committed performance of Katelin Stack. Her portrayal gives the story a grounded emotional core that anchors the more surreal and stylized moments. The direction is confident, often using some murky, intimate visuals that mirror the protagonist’s unraveling state of mind. However, the film’s pacing may test viewers’ patience—particularly in the first act, which lingers a bit too long before the central plot kicks in. The supporting characters, while intriguing, could use a bit of development, making some late-story turns feel less impactful than they should. Still, American Woman offers a distinct voice and a compelling arc, even if not all risks pay off. It’s a smart, brooding film with a few rough edges—ultimately a solid 7.5 or 8/10.
