Good one See more William P 08/28/2022 I came across this quite by accident and was surprised I'd never heard of it before. This is a very campy, quirky movie that I would think would have a large following as a cult film. It certainly checks all the boxes, with magical realism, over the top acting, absurdism (the main character's uncle claims to be running for President, and planning to change the oval office into a rectangle, or diamond "to keep people on their toes") and he falls in love with an accidental vampire. His grandfather sits at the table wearing a crown with his sorceress girlfriend. It's hard to work out: Olivia: "you're probably just interested in my brains!" Ted: "Go ahead! Bite me!" But the kids try to work it out. It's fun and crazy and should be made into a musical (like Rocky Horror; Little Shop of Horrors).
