Hotshot television anchorman Ron Burgundy welcomes upstart reporter Veronica Corningstone into the male-dominated world of 1970s broadcast news -- that is, until the talented female journalist begins to outshine Burgundy on air. Soon he grows jealous, begins a bitter feud with Veronica and eventually makes a vulgar slip on live TV that ruins his career. You could argue that Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is one of the Mt. Rushmore comedies, a pitch-perfect character study combined with some incredible set pieces, unforgettable jokes and scathing commentary.

This is just a classic comedy movie with almost no issues and so many iconic scene. If you haven't seen this movie i promise you that you would recognize so many of the scenes in this movie. The cast is almost perfect and takes this movie to a hole another level. If you even remotely like comedy movies watch this one.

It's not obviously Ferrell's best, but to list Anchorman as one of the possibilities should tell you how good it is -- from a Will Ferrell standpoint, anyway. First, it should tell you that this one rises above a plethora of Ferrell's other silly screaming-above-the-noise characters. At the same time, it tells me that Ferrell, as loud and crass and unequivocally insane as he is on screen, still has a ceiling. And it's not really all that high.
