jasmine loooved this movie. tragically beautiful. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/25 Full Review Caden Hammontre After waiting years to watch this film, I am so happy that my first experience with it could be in theaters! Even though Angel's Egg is a movie with themes and philosophies that become noticeably more evident when you research its background and production, it was still incredibly refreshing to watch a film that succeeded so well at making sure that its meaning could be left to the interpretation of the audience, with endless room for discussion! I did not want to pressure myself into having a conclusive takeaway after just my first watch, but what I did pick up on and make observations of, I felt quite confident about. After going online to read the thoughts and feelings of others, I found that my interpretation was validated more often than not! I won't go into detail on this because this is a good film to experience blind, but basic knowledge of Biblical and Christian themes does help, and others have already explained my takeaways better than I presently could. However, the two Bible verses that come to my mind when reflecting on the meaning of the film would have to be Jeremiah 29:11 and Matthew 25:21, which read: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jer 29:11 "His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’" Matt 25:21 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/21/25 Full Review Alan B Amazing visuals and symbolism. Great job with the 4k restoration and sound design. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/21/25 Full Review Michael S A movie to watch at least once, the plot was loose and the characters carried the story with little dialogue, the music was the best part but the pacing made it difficult to stay engaged. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/25 Full Review Anas Got to see this tonight in theaters. A utterly beautiful movie with a haunting atmosphere. The story was bizarre and slightly hard to follow. But the melancholy of the setting is something that sticks with you. I can see how this inspired games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/25 Full Review Corey Angel’s Egg is an incredible animated experience filled with gorgeous visuals, religious allegory, and haunting music. The 4k restoration must be seen to be believed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/21/25 Full Review Read all reviews
