Angry Young Men is a surreal, coming of age tale set in the barren gangland town of Mauchton, Scotland. In Mauchton, one group of young boys decide to fight back against their elder rivals and establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with. By drawing on their ambition and combined sets of skills, they hatch a plan to beat the other gangs into submission and set up various businesses within their area (The Brambles) with hopes of eventually earning enough money to escape the town for good. However, years later, when many of them now have their roots planted firmly within Mauchton, a masked gang called 'The Campbell Group' rolls into town with plans of their own and the boys are drawn into a war to see who has what it takes to wear the crown.
