The story is simultaneously thought provoking and engaging. Most of my thoughts were provoked in the end, when I realized that every incident that happened in the movie, though deep, was easily understandable but it was hard for me to figure out what the movie stands for as a whole. So, instead of considering it a very smart movie because I couldn't understand it, I'll say it tried to make a deep philosophical point but took itself too seriously. There are sub-plots with dead-ends, but the portrayal of characters and lower-middle class milieu is so delightfully authentic that one finds it convenient to overlook the shortcomings. On experiencing a life driven by curiosity and the thirst to discover your hard-earned 'truth', Rajat Kapoor's film is poignant. The depiction of the families and their day to day lives is authentic and well observed by Rajat Kapoor and the role of younger brother is also well essayed. Seema Pahwa is outstanding and Sanjay Mishra delivers his best performance.
