Although undeniably worthy, it doesn`t quite measure up to the original, perhaps because the lead character has undergone a metamorphosis in which mischievousness has been supplanted by maturity. Go to Full Review

Loyal fans of the books may not like some of the liberties that filmmaker Kevin Sullivan has taken with the plot, but ultimately the movie stays true to the spirit of both Anne and the novels, and there's a lot to enjoy here. Go to Full Review

Erin S Apr 15 This isn’t just a movie. This is a life-changing emotional experience. I’ve been watching this every year since I was a kid and it always speaks to me in such profound ways. It doesnt even feel like these are actors or that it’s scripted, and the scenery and the score are so profoundly beautiful. It never fails to make me weep, both tears of happiness and joy! See more Mason D 09/18/2022 boring as krap not fun or entertaining its just people talking while there is a story its a boring one See more 05/12/2022 A heart stirring follow up to the 1985 film. The acting is wonderful and the script is well adapted from the original source novels. This film presents a more mature Anne Shirley, than appears in Anne of Green Gables and Megan Follows portrays this effortlessly. Has all the appeal of the first film, plus more. The love triangle kinda between Anne, Gilbert, and Morgan was really a good addition to the story and the proposals made me cry and want to slap Anne for refusing Gilbert! I love Gilbert he's so attractive! See more Stafford V 09/22/2014 Same stuff as the first one and that girl never shuts up. See more Read all reviews
