Stoner J Super overrated, it's decent but the ending lackluster and too much just silliness. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Thirdi A A gripping horror flick with standout performances, believable characters, and just the right touch of dark humor. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review BIGMEMPHISMOOK 901 Obviously low budget but definitely high quality for an old school horror feel for fans of this genre. True horror fans will definitely appreciate this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/24 Full Review Aldo G Did not expect this movie to be as good as it was. Good enough to make me create an account and give it a rating. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/19/23 Full Review Hugo S An elderly couple kidnaps a pregnant woman and performs a satanic ritual to channel the ghost of their dead grandson into the unborn child. Unexpectedly, the ritual opens a portal to purgatory and both the couple and the captive woman start being terrorized by tormented souls. "Anything For Jackson" is a pretty dark and solid horror film that shows the worst possible way of dealing with grief - a pact with the devil. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/01/23 Full Review Matt R Incredibly unique. A tiny bit funny. Very disturbing. With plenty of scares too. Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News Director Justin G. Dyck takes a break from his holiday rom-com gig - he's made an insane amount - and slays it. Rated: 3/4 Dec 17, 2020 Full Review Kristy Puchko Pajiba A horror film that is not just sickeningly entertaining, but disturbingly relevant. Dec 4, 2020 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com Justin G. Dyck's very smart movie lures viewers in with its clever concept and instantly strong characters only to present them with the kind of nightmare fuel that would impress Clive Barker. Rated: 3/4 Dec 3, 2020 Full Review Bill Bria Vague Visages Anything for Jackson is a perfect example of wasted potential, as the film contains some solid elements that Dyck fails to build upon. Jun 7, 2023 Full Review Jessica Scott We Who Walk Here Hilarious, terrifying, and mournful, Anything for Jackson is a horror-comedy that gets both parts of the equation perfectly right. Dec 23, 2022 Full Review Jason Shawhan Nashville Scene It's rare to find this kind of tonal mastery in a film in which so much crazy shit happens, and the tiny swirl of deadpan humor is perfect for leavening such an ultimately unsettling story.
