flixster f Better knowledge of certain historical events might have escalated the chilling experience, and helped better appreciate this supernatural/mystery flick ending on quite a witty note. In fact, it's the final moments that leave a lasting impression than the rest of its slasher sort of execution. The performances (most specifically by the actor playing Pablo) were also not up to the mark. At one point, it began to feel like a B grade horror flick, and I'm not sure if that's what its makers intended. All the same, it's a relatively passable fare, and that's an aspect I've grown to appreciate. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member With the undertone of a dark political past of a country, this movie is as good as any other modern, well made Spanish Horror-thrillers, considering its production value, cast, pace & overall making of the film. Even the finely constructed story offers seemingly an interesting plot & well developed characters where the 'Past' & 'Present' overlaps time to time through revealing all the horror & mystery quite decently. Thought it was entertaining but as a thriller, I think the film somewhat loses its credibility & appeal for its predictable twist about the antagonist & the way they finally exposed the character near the end. Even as a genre fan, I think it'd better if they constructed the same story with less supernatural elements on it, particularly about the bad guy. Overall, a fine Spanish supernatural thriller, not a bad time waster. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The story developed very slooowly, although it picked up a little towards the end but at least 30 min could have been cut to pick up the pace. Had some scares but nothing special...
