Dennis Harvey Variety Neither its staging nor its performances transcend the limitations of Adrian Speckert and Cory Todd Hughes’ script, leaving mediocre material unredeemed by any special thrills, style, or character detailing. Nov 22, 2024 Full Review Glenn Kenny RogerEbert.com Even at its relatively trim 89-minute runtime, "Armor" feels padded. Rated: 1/4 Nov 22, 2024 Full Review Alex Maidy JoBlo's Movie Network Jason Patric and Sylvester Stallone still have solid screen presence and deserve much better than movies like Armor. Avoid this one unless you want to see many people talk through a wall between intermittent explosions and gunfire. Rated: 3/10 Dec 10, 2024 Full Review Erik Childress Movie Madness Podcast Stallone reportedly shot his entire role in one day. The rest of the film feels shot in the second. Rated: 1/4 Dec 3, 2024 Full Review Sebastian Zavala Kahn Loud and Clear Reviews A repetitive, tedious action “romp”, full of terrible digital effects and clichéd characterisations, and lacking in anything resembling excitement or tension. Armor is, unfortunately, a wasted opportunity. Rated: 2/5 Nov 30, 2024 Full Review Alan French FandomWire There are simply too many better action films to spend your time on Armor. Gareth M This film has more stupid plot holes than a colander. Next time wear masks; don’t shoot the security guys if they get out- take them slowly and calmly, after all the back door of the truck is open! To the drivers, you could have rammed the truck in the rear on the bridge and barreled through. Or, as there are houses within 200yards wait for a neighbour to report gunfire. Why did no other traffic try to cross the bridge? Why does a so called professional crew not carry Semtex to blow the doors? Crap writing, a 10 year old could spot the plot weaknesses Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review Scott R Great movie lots of action! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Andrew W If you like late 90s early 2000 action flicks, this is for you. This movie is 20 yrs late to the review party so I'mma say 5 stars. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Will W More proof that critics are brain dead. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/11/24 Full Review Eric B The premise had many options and a framework that had great potential and options to deliver with a solid cast. The bridge scene is opulent, but needs an extreme suspension of reality that no other cars come near for the forty minutes of drama. Add this to a major breaks in continuity, the main antagonist at this point appears out of now where to have a fist fight(what? Why?) until out of a child’s storytelling mind Sylvester then shoots the real “bad guy” in his heart through his body armor with a pistol from the bridge (how about “nothing but neck?” Instead), Then egregiously cuts to a scene of sly carrying a rifle (more plausible for such a shot) while stepping over his fallen comrades, then next cuts back to him carrying a pistol…. Boooooooo I say. Terrible…. lol… but congrats… I did watch the whole thing…. And am enjoying posting about how bad it was… so in many ways congrats to the filmmakers…. And also .. boooo. you should be ashamed… and please do better with your talents. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/10/24 Full Review Mike This is one of Sly worst films ever. Talk about amateur hour on robing and amour truck. The movie starts out Dad ex-cop and his son driving out in the middle of know where and the rest of the movie is watching a crew of idiots trying to get an amour truck open.
