Afourteen m Dude, what the flip is going on in this movie. Who was having a bad day and created their whole life story in one movie. What is that plot? whos the main character? What is going on? Its good but im so confused!!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Thomas R Half horror-comedy and half traditional gore, "Asylum: Twisted Horror & Fantasy Tales" is a near-perfect horror film. I was touched by the zombie short. I was laughing my ass off during the Mega Trumpzillian attack; the stop-action short; and the Mexican man dying, coming back to life, and his wife and mom wanting him to die again. Then, I was cringing during the final bloodbath. Director Caye Casas could've cut the 10-minute, "2001: A Space Odyssey" ripoff—the only segment that seemed out-of-place. Otherwise, he really did a remarkable job of seamlessly telling a coherent and highly-creative collection of horror stories. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie really confused me. First off I have to mention that I love the cheesy anthology horror aspect. I'm not sure if each story has a different team working on it but it definitely feels like it, that's not a bad thing. Secondly, the sub story about that guy who's wife cheated on him had potential. It started off a little iffy. Got juicy in the middle then went off the rails in the end. As sad as it sounds the story of a defeated man slowly going insane would have clicked better. That's technically what it is but the murder was a bit extreme, a suicide would have gave it a more serious tone. The ending sucked. Overall it's a good movie. Watch it on shrooms.
