Rated: B- May 3, 2016 Full Review Rob Humanick Suite101.com There's so much going on in the shoestring gem that is The Atomic Submarine that it seems only incidentally science fiction. robert p A very well made movie for the 50's era, where people were making sci-fi and horror movies at a dime a dozen. This movie is now a Criterion Collection and thus that means the Criterion people thought this was worth saving!!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Make Blobbo doze better than sleeping pill. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Not crazy enough to be worth the time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This film has vivid, obtuse visuals, interesting use of effects, and a great final battle between the sentient alien overlord and the submarine crew. Though a lot of this film drags, it more than makes up for it with great visuals and ideas. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Low-budget thriller with some interesting concepts--Another Black and White Sci-Fi Romp from '59!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member One of those standard 50's sci-fi monster flicks. And while the models were pretty well done, my mind would often reject the reality they were trying to create just because the scale seemed off. Either that, or the submarine was the most roomy submarine ever created . . . Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
