Audience Member This is a film about a super big flying submarine thing. Enough said. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/25/24 Full Review JIJI2057 As a Kaiju fan I was looking forward to it. The Kaiju It's only in it for about five minutes and gets beat super easily so does the evil empire that supposed to be somehow super more advanced than we are but for some odd reason needs to kidnap civil engineers and steal plans for a submarine from World War II there's a sea captain who never gave up fighting and created a summer rain I know spars island we're just a few natives and somehow had the raw materials to build an underground shipyard and the submarine even if you ignore the plot holes it's still very badly Acted and just a snore to get through Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/18/23 Full Review Monsol E I wish I could recommend this, but it took FAR too long to get to it's point, and was janky all around. At it's core, this is about a Japanese navy captain, seeking to restart WWII decades after it ended, thru sheer pigheadedness...only to have the entire world rest on his shoulders as his experimental submarine is the only thing that can stop a power-mad empress of a dead empire, and her "invincible" army...The subtlety was not lost on me, nor was the ending scene of a lone vessel firing wildly at a people who had, quite literally risen above their war. The movie was bogged-down by a chaotic opening, and too much pointless filler before the real plot started, and when it did, it lacked the focus it needed to be great. I don't know how much my fellow Tokusatsu fans would enjoy this either, as what miniature/special effects it had were OK at best, and there was far too little of them....and the eventual kaiju was lame as all heck. Ultimately, it was a dank movie, that had a good theme. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Atragon is a beautiful movie . Plus Manda is in it he is my favorite kaiju it is all about military and i love military . If you are not a big fan of military don't worry there is more than military , Its GREAT !!! . Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Amongst the pantheon of Toho's giant monster movies, Atragon is definitely one of the weaker entries. For die hard kaiju fans only. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member The Japanese Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea--good spy-monster 60ish movie!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
