Marija Djurovic Cairo360 There's a sense of repetitiveness that kicks in about halfway through, eventually dragging the film to an unsurprising and unoriginal ending. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 2, 2016 Full Review Scott Weinberg TheHorrorShow It actually feels like a "Discovery Channel"-style documentary that just happens to wander into some very supernatural places. Aug 23, 2015 Full Review Anton Bitel ScreenAnarchy a literal answer to the question of what keeps possessing the US to conduct itself the questionable way it does in war, whether Cold or on Terror. Mar 2, 2015 Full Review Matt Donato We Got This Covered The Atticus Institute is a blast from the past, but it's not a very scary one. Rated: 5/10 Jan 24, 2015 Full Review Dustin Putman TheFrightFile.com Admirably constructed, but the derivative script makes it difficult for one to become too enthused by the stock goings-on. Claudio C The Atticus Institute (2015) Boring and Annoying (12,053– 10 Nov 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) In the middle 70’s, the idealistic scientist Dr. Henry West (William Mapother) builds the Atticus Institute with the intention of studying cases of telekinesis and paranormal activities. His team and he are lured by Norman LeClair (Jake Carpenter), a patient the claims to use telekinesis to move things but is discovered the use of a magnet, jeopardizing the reputation of the institute. But when Margaret Winstead (Dianne Travis) brings her sister Judith (Rya Kihlstedt), Henry and his team find that she is possessed and very powerful, and the army joins the institute expecting to weaponize Judith Winstead. “The Atticus Institute” (2015) is a boring and annoying movie, with a story very common in the 80’s, of special people with some sort of power. The film is made in the found footage and documentaries styles, but irritates the viewer. The good thing is the performance of Rya Kihlstedt, in the role of a possessed woman abused and tortured by the scientists and militaries. My vote is three. This was TERRIFYING! I couldn't look at her eyes any longer!!! Where ever they found this woman for this movie, they deserve a medal 🏅!! Very different, engrossing and believable! TERRIFYING!! Decided for yourself! These average viewers think their professional film critics!! ( rolling eyes) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/03/24 Full Review Solomon K Not the worst I've ever seen. Good idea for a horror movie but it could have been done a lot better. As it is, I couldn't recommend it unless you are very bored and cannot find a better horror movie you haven't seen. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/24 Full Review greencrystal7 Good story telling that draws you in. Elegant and real life horror. Under-rated gem. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It kept me interested in seeing what was happening. I would recommend it because it's got some truth to the movie although the movie is fictional. They made it for Hollywood to get profit, but the government experiments were true.
