Paul F One of the worst movies ever created, do not listen to the high scores. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Ted B 3.5 stars; So, this film is billed as a comedy. I would agree, but only in the Cowen brothers vain of comedy.... exaggerated plot with exaggerated characters. The whole film is just a little off-the-wall. So being a big Coen brothers fan, it's natural that would like this movie. I found the movie compelling, Even if you're not a fan of that type of comedy. You still wanted to find out how this messed up plot with messed up characters gets resolved. The ending was not so predictable, but very satisfying. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/04/23 Full Review Audience Member A good ensemble cast, but the tone takes a wild U-turn in the last act that is completely out of place for what could have just been an amusing comedy. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Good idea never really solidified. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/18/18 Full Review anthony b A limp, lifeless indie that barely manages a third star which is only due to its bizarre, bold, and balanced casting decisions. Everyone involved is a naturally funny person but Austin Found is not going for laughs, especially after the first act, and this makes for a very awkward, sometimes frustrating film. Fortunately the actors, Linda Cardellini and Craig Robinson in particular, make it hard to stop watching. This film is not awful, just the marketing is. So long as you don't go into Austin Found with high expectations for a comedy or in general, you will be able to appreciate the strong dramatic performances and overall message which is as clear as the story is muddled. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I just watched this movie on Hulu. I almost didn't because of the low RT rating, but decided to watch the first 20 minutes based on the cast. I got sucked in and end up loving this movie. It's fun and crazy! The actors are great. I don't understand why so many critics gave it mediocre reviews. I guess you can't please everyone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

      J. R. Jones Chicago Reader There's some sharp satire early on, but the criminal partnership between the mother and boyfriend strains credulity and the movie lacks the gravitas required for its late detour into emotionally ugly drama. Apr 8, 2020 Full Review Katie Walsh Los Angeles Times The cast is rounded out with likable comedians, but this fable can't decide if it's going to be deliciously bad or morally upstanding. Dec 28, 2017 Full Review Justin Lowe Hollywood Reporter Will Raee's feature wrings a few laughs from a strained premise, but remains far better suited to short-attention span formats than theatrical play. Jul 8, 2017 Full Review Rick Bentley Tribune News Service It's one of the better movies about murder, manipulation and celebrity since Gus Van Sant's 1995 feature To Die For. Dec 28, 2017 Full Review Danielle Solzman Solzy at the Movies Austin Found tells the story of what one mother will do for fame. Nov 26, 2017 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue ... struggles to generate much emotional investment in its off-putting characters or their plight. Jul 14, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
