As usual, Adkins' fighting is great and his acting is, besides the aforementioned hindrances, above decent. This may not be his best work, but it's good nonetheless.

While Avengement isn't exactly a classic in any regard, it's a step in the right direction for a new breed of British thumpfests that - if Adkins can wield his sensibilities correctly - may just begin to rival their Eastern origins.

Take out the fight scenes and you have maybe 10 minutes of actual story. I enjoy a good fight, but this was too much. And the grand-finale fight was just silly. The direcor did a good job considering what he had to work with.

One of the best revenge action movies ever with action scenes that will forever be in your memory. The protagonist is amazing and almost makes the rest of the cast look bad which works in this movie.

This is one of the best revenge films ever. Betrayal, false accusations, loss of basic human rights, turning from an innocent man into an unrecognizable anti-hero monster just to survive, pushed deeper into a bottomless dark pit and fighting to crawl out, tragedy, and deep satisfying vengeance. Killer film.
