Ron S Just could not find a way to like this movie Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/08/23 Full Review Audience Member It's honestly one of those movies I should never have even bothered, but there is a part of me that feels the need to see as much that comes out to be able to truly say with confidence what I feel is the best or worst of the year. The poster looking like an Avengers mockbuster is the best thing about this thing. Hell, I wouldn't even consider this a movie. A part of me feels like I should grade on a curve for this "movie" because it feels like a bunch of adults just decided to make a superhero movie together. It's that amateurish. But then I remember that this movie has been distributed. This movie can be bought or rented by consumers. This apparently had a limited theatrical release! So, it's fair game to criticize. The only thing I can give the movie credit for is the amusing premise of some average guy who lands a superhero gig because he thought it was for children's birthday parties, not knowing it was a job interview to be a real superhero. But that is the only amusing thing because it falls flat in every conceivable level. Acting is none existent and feel like a bunch of friends making a movie. I think I even caught a few laughing as they delivered their lines! Costumes look like they came out of a Halloween store. Visual effects are amateurish, save for a real car crash stunt where the car flips over (that caught me off guard). Cinematography even has scenes and shots out of focus. Hell, there are times where the framing is so bad that it cuts off half of the face of the actor delivering their lines! Dialogue is atrocious and any attempts at comedy made me fold into myself. Even the audio editing is so bad that the sound don't even match the lips of the actors! You could hear a person say a complete line of dialogue and once it's done, the lips finally move! And sadly none of it is bad enough to be funny This is the modern equivalent of what you might see on a Best of the Worst episode. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
