      christopher c. m Besides ripping off better in the woods horror movies it's just dumb. This is 2008, not 1908. When enough people vanish from a given area the authorizes would figure out something might be happening in this forest and investigate or do a massive search. What is the villain's motives? They're not cannibals or mutants or anything like that. The bad guys are just bad guys. Hillbilly stereotypes is as offensive as any. Also, the protagonists aren't any better. They're like massive jerks that get what they deserve. The movie is ugly, annoying and just unpleasant. Not in the way most suspense horror is suppose to be. Just bad. A good cast of actors wasted on this turd. Forced to play really obnoxious jerks or just boring and plain. Forget this one. There's not much violence, blood/gore, or torture. Usually movies that go straight to DVD are horrible like this. I'm not saying this is the worst movie ever, but if you're looking for something like this, I recommend Wrong Turn or The Hills Have Eyes (where there is strong bloody violence and more torture).
