Udita Jhunjhunwala Livemint If revenge is a dish best served cold, this one isn't icy enough. Apr 3, 2019 Full Review Anupama Chopra Film Companion Nothing is what it seems and there are many turns, but the film isn't as clever as it thinks it is. Apr 5, 2019 Full Review Poulomi Das Arré Ghosh builds a solid case against the assumption of innocence that we often grant women accused of heinous crimes. If only Badla lived up to its intent. Maribeth A Thriller with plot twists that knocked me off the couch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Nick H Remake of Invisible Guest- Watch Invisible Guest instead. This movie was entertaining because it picks up speed early on. There were plenty of twists that were timed right. It's a remake so I suggest watching Invisible Guest, instead. SPOILER: The bad guy in a Who Dunnit movie should be good enough at acting innocent and, in this movie, she comes across as a cold and calculating person from the very first scene, causing much less shock than intended by the filmmakers. The ending good ridiculous at the point where you're expected to believe that the mom, an elderly woman, climbed out of the window and walked onto a snowy ledge, at about 15 stories up, even though it was room 303, typically the 3rd floor. Instead of something simple, like leaving the door locked with a hotel key or leaving out of an adjoining closet room. You feel better about that blip when you realize that it never happened but your relief is cut short when you're expected to believe that this woman thought up an entire conspiracy that pointed to someone else in a matter of seconds under pressure and panicked. It kept me entertained and I'm not a "critic", though. I notice every plot hole, inconsistency, unrealistic nuances and can guess the twist or bad guy for 90% of movies, while still being able to thoroughly enjoy ones that have bad ratings. I'm surprised this was given as many good reviews compared to ones I thought were much better that rated poorly so I can only guess that it's because of the story line, which is a remake. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/22 Full Review adi 1 A very gripping thriller. Great performances by 2 leads and the atmosphere it develops just sucks you in and doesn't let up until the climax. Only thing did not perfectly is the ending which I can understand that they went for something new but unfortunately it doesn't live up to the film and feels more like an 80s action movie plot. But the film is amazing. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The original movie sucked and then this is just a poor remake. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Ibrahim S This movie is owesome, i love mystery films and this really made my day. I like it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/20/20 Full Review arun s Badla didn't quite work for me despite an impressive performance by Amitabh Bachchan. I am not sure why.. Taapsee wasn't that good here as the critics claim Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
