lance c A staggering historical drama with lurid eroticism and great special effects. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review ronak c Right from the dialogues and the grand sets, the story moves at a rapid pace. Bajirao Peshwa's story might be highlighted in a Bollywood way but we need more such stories to showcase our historical great figures. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/01/22 Full Review Audience Member More than the story, the movie is held up thanks to leading performances of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Music and cinematography is good too. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't know whether Bajirao truly loved Kashibai or was bound to her by the marital norms, but the chemistry between Bajirao and Mastani- or let's have it clearly- between Deepika and Ranveer, is sizzling if not passionate, because when they meet, love truly gets into the air and blossoms. Its one of the finest films of the grandeur storyteller Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and opulence matches scale, when beauty meets romance. Also, a terrific film it is because its portrayal of religious harmony is safe, and sound. Its one of the most moving Hindi films you will see recently. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Overrated. Cliched and predictable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member It a fantastic movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Namrata Joshi The Hindu Some of the more interesting Bhansali tropes add to the film's impact and appeal. But it's the trajectory and transformation of the two women that is worth noting. Jan 4, 2018 Full Review Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express The grandiosity wears off. You long for a genuinely moving, exciting story, featuring all these beautiful people, all actors able to pull off characters, but buried under their mounds of clothes, mouthing dialogue. Rated: 1.5/5 Jan 4, 2018 Full Review Anupama Chopra Hindustan Times The film feels overly ceremonious, purposefully epic and, in places, a little exhausting. But hang in there. Because slowly and skillfully, Bajirao Mastani transports you. Rated: 4/5 Aug 16, 2016 Full Review Pradeep Menon Firstpost You know a director is worth his or her title when, largely, their later work is their better work. If Ram-Leela was visceral, this one was quite simply ferocious. Oct 17, 2023 Full Review Anna M.M. Vetticad Firstpost Despite its shortcomings then, this is a brave and beautiful film - beautiful to look at, beautiful in its position on religion, brave in its take on history... May 9, 2019 Full Review Rahul Desai CatchNews Bhansali's imagery and craft are perhaps second to none, but his storytelling continues to resist evolution.
