Right from the dialogues and the grand sets, the story moves at a rapid pace. Bajirao Peshwa's story might be highlighted in a Bollywood way but we need more such stories to showcase our historical great figures.

I don't know whether Bajirao truly loved Kashibai or was bound to her by the marital norms, but the chemistry between Bajirao and Mastani- or let's have it clearly- between Deepika and Ranveer, is sizzling if not passionate, because when they meet, love truly gets into the air and blossoms. Its one of the finest films of the grandeur storyteller Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and opulence matches scale, when beauty meets romance. Also, a terrific film it is because its portrayal of religious harmony is safe, and sound. Its one of the most moving Hindi films you will see recently.
