Ian W This is not a good film. Without Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayak it is a total turkey. 2 or 3 out of 10 at best. But they are both stunning, and give it their best. You kind of forget about the wafer thin plot and the bad dialogue. Your mind does drift though. If push comes to shove - yeah, Penelope. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/24 Full Review Jan V Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek in their prime, bickering like fish wives, dressed in tight corsets, kissing, shooting guns... What's not to like? Alyx Vesey Bitch Media Despite its sticky ethics and crude slapstick, I thought Bandidas was fun. Jan 11, 2021 Full Review Joe Leydon Variety A nominal action-comedy that fails to provide either excitement or amusement. Jan 10, 2007 Full Review Randy Cordova Arizona Republic Silly, breezy fun, fueled by playful chemistry between its charismatic, appealing stars. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 12, 2006 Full Review Grant Rosenberg Screen International After a while the derivative, predictable plot turns and umpteenth cliched joke ensure that Bandidas never quite thrills as much as it could have. Sep 8, 2020 Full Review Alberto Abuín Espinof A shameful cinematic exemplar, which discredits the cinema itself. [Full Review in Spanish] Feb 13, 2020 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Combustible Celluloid Bandidas comes from writer/producer Luc Besson, and it has the same kind of brisk, lightweight comic action as films like Wasabi (2001) and The Transporter (2002).
