The sum of the six parts only equals a mediocre movie. Go to Full Review

Most of the segments are really well done though, my personal fave being the gorgeous "Have I Got a Story For You", which also has the audacity of being an anthology within an anthology. Go to Full Review

As diferentes abordagens estticas enriquecem o projeto, que realmente merece aplausos com relao ao seu design de produo. Infelizmente, os roteiros dos episdios so medianos em sua maioria, comprometendo o resultado final. Go to Full Review

Robert M Jul 22 Batman: Gotham Knight is a truly fascinating and innovative entry into the Dark Knight's animated canon, offering a unique and refreshing take on the Caped Crusader. Rather than a singular narrative, the film presents an anthology of six distinct short stories, each helmed by a different director and animation studio, providing a diverse visual and tonal experience. This segmented approach, far from feeling disjointed, actually enhances the exploration of Batman's multifaceted character, delving into various aspects of his psyche, his methods, and the impact he has on the citizens of Gotham. From the more abstract and philosophical explorations of fear and the blurred lines between hero and monster, to gritty, action-packed sequences showcasing his incredible combat prowess, each segment contributes to a richer, more nuanced understanding of the iconic hero. The varying animation styles are a particular highlight, ranging from fluid and kinetic to stark and almost painterly, each perfectly suiting the narrative it tells. It's a testament to the enduring appeal of Batman that such a bold and experimental format can not only work but genuinely excel. This film isn't just for die-hard fans; it's a compelling watch for anyone interested in creative storytelling and character deconstruction, proving that even after decades, there are still fresh and exciting ways to tell a Batman story. This movie explores Batman Theme and It's myth to it's perfection. This is the most comic-book accurate Batman. Even though the first anthology is weakest despite great animation and concept specially It's original Batman Comic Book storyline and BTAS episode did it way better. Other than that the rest of the anthology is damn good and masterpiece. It's Batman's philosophy at it's finest. Only brainless won't understand and appreciate this. See more Alysha S 03/03/2024 3.75. The animation for one of the episodes doesn't work. Overall, however, the storytelling is incredible and the character of Bruce Wayne/Batman is consistent with the character from The Dark Knight trilogy. (The production is set between the first and two installments of the trilogy.) See more Cask and Crow P 01/26/2024 I love the concept of this movie more then the movie itself. The movie is made up of several short Batman stories. Each one done In a different art style. The problem for was , I didn't like all of the art styles and in am animated movie, liking the art is key. I'd definitely tell you to watch it, but don't have high expectations See more Jash 01/15/2024 This was incredibly boring. The colors looked washed out; I checked on different screens / devices to see if it was my monitor. This movie just doesn't look good. Disappointing Batman flick. See more Read all reviews
