Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times Like its heroine, "Becks" is unsure and all over the place, lacking a central focus. But like Becks herself, its messiness ultimately draws us in and keeps us watching. Feb 8, 2018 Full Review Tatiana Craine Village Voice With Becks, directors Elizabeth Rohrbaugh and Daniel Powell have crafted an understated musical that really works, thanks to Alyssa Robbins's heartfelt music and standout performances from the cast. Feb 8, 2018 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg New York Times The movie exemplifies how small judgments in pace, performance and soundtrack can transcend modest trappings. Feb 8, 2018 Full Review Rachel Brook One Room With A View An inconsistent take on a somewhat overdone premise. Rated: 3/5 Feb 14, 2019 Full Review Christopher James AwardsCircuit.com The film wears its identity on its sleeve without making it the sole focus of the feature. Scott d Missed seeing this film in theaters, but just caught it on Tubi & loved it! Great conflict stirred up in the first 10 minutes of the movie and the brilliant, honest acting from the entire cast (especially from Lena Hall) had me engaged the entire film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/12/22 Full Review Audience Member A movie that really goes nowhere about a selfish lesbian who only cares about herself. Trash Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/27/20 Full Review Audience Member What a fantastic movie - it feels like a real slice of a real life, messy and jagged and true - completely un-Hollywoodised, in other words. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review steve d Becks works because of a believable and often funny script and great performances by its leading ladies. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Solid film and good performances, well wroth the viewing! The singing and songs are really good too! Definitely check out it on demand.
