Penelope Gilliatt Observer (UK) The title is ironic, for the film isn't remotely suitable for children. I wouldn't call it suitable for an 80-year-old. In fact I can't quite think who it is suitable for. Mar 6, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Bap M Just as good as, if not slightly better than, the 1988 remake, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Michael Caine & Steve Martin). Instead of Michael Caine, you have David Niven. Instead of Steve Martin, you have Marlon Brando. Now Niven is perfect. How about Brando ? He is a serious actor, not a comedian like Steve Martin. But he pulls it off nicely. Parts of the movie may look like slapstick comedy, but the actors overcome the zaniness with good acting. The ending is slightly different, with the modern version having a twist. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/01/24 Full Review nick s I had high expectations of this as I love Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Boy were those dashed. I don't know why but this movie was just a chore to sit through. Comedy - not everyone can do it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/22/23 Full Review Steve D What makes the remake interesting is the twist which is absent here. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
