John DeFore Hollywood Reporter A timely setting adds some appeal to this quiet survival drama. Apr 1, 2020 Full Review Jordan Elizabeth Common Sense Media Unreal pandemic drama has very real violence. Rated: 2/5 Mar 4, 2021 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film The latter part of the film descends into familiar cinematic territory... [but] there's still a lot to admire en route to this. Michel L I found this one very realistic. Just a few things i did not catch or understand: 1) why did ava hate her parents so much? 2) and the end, does ava survive or does she die with her boyfriend? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/07/24 Full Review Aric It was good. It was personal. I could imagine myself in the situation as a man. The brother was the real man. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/23 Full Review Kevan K Interesting theme, well acted, suspense without other-worldly creatures or spirits. The ending would have been predictable, and was other than a twist. Love endures and wins, with limits. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/01/23 Full Review Davien T I honestly can't tell you what the point of this movie was. There was no back story. What happened with her and her family? Why does her husband's family don't really like her? Did she talk to the other brother? I feel like I was waiting on a connection scene the entire movie and it just made it feel pointless. Like aimlessly walking through a desert. I said desert because it was dry. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/28/23 Full Review Lynne F I don't understand all the hate for this movie. I liked it quite a bit. I mean, it's not going to win awards, but the story was solid and mostly plausible. I thought the acting across the board was pretty good too, especially the characters of Ava and Jasper Boone. Max, Jake, Kelly, also very good. Even side characters like the bartender, roadblock military guy (idk what you call him), and the other militants were good. No, there wasn't enough time to explore the childhood trauma that led to the family tension, but I don't really need to know the details to understand the emotion there (physical, emotional, sexual). It was also interesting to see how people could potentially devolve relatively quickly in this scenario. What I didn't like and wish was explained more fully
 1) what happened to her mom?, and 2) was she sick at the end? Because drawing Kelly in for a "happy" ending then seems unlikely. I really expected her to throw out her arms and say "NO! Stay away. I have so much to say/explain but you need to stay away
". I would have loved the story to end right there so I could image that interaction, those emotions, then ultimately if she lived or died what would happen to them. And Jake. Jake is out there somewhere questioning his life decisions. Yet I still want to know where he lands. Anyway, it was enjoyable and I'll recommend it to friends as a pretty decent watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Péssimo, uma verdadeira porcaria. Sim, escrevi em Português. O filme é muito mal escrito e dirigido. Assisti na Prime, acelerando, e mesmo assim continuei entediado. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
