Bryan A @Timmaryturner Dec 31 Ben 10: Alien Swarm is a live-action movie where Ben, Gwen, and Kevin fight sentient alien nanobots (the "Hive") trying to possess humans and take over Earth, a mission that leads Ben to team up with Elena Validus, the daughter of a rogue Plumber, against Grandpa Max's wishes, ultimately discovering the Queen is in Elena's father's body and defeating her by transforming into a new alien, Nanomech, to destroy her from within. Plot Summary: The Threat Emerges: Ben encounters black market dealers selling alien nanobots, which he discovers are controlled by a hive mind seeking world domination. New Ally: He meets Elena Validus, who needs help finding her missing scientist father, Victor, leading Ben to trust her despite Grandpa Max's warnings about her father's past with the Plumbers. Division: Ben defies Max and teams up with Elena, causing a rift with Gwen and Kevin as they investigate the growing alien infestation. The Hive's Plan: The nanobots possess people, and the team realizes they must find the Queen, discovering she's using Victor's body as a host to mass-produce the chips. Climax: At the main production site in Missouri, Ben transforms into Nanomech (a new alien created from the chips) and flies into Victor's brain to destroy the Queen, freeing everyone. Resolution: The Hive is defeated, Max apologizes, and the team returns home, with Ben learning to trust his instincts even when they conflict with authority. Key Elements: Villains: Sentient nanobots (The Hive) and their Queen. New Alien: Nanomech, created from scanning the alien chips. Themes: Trust, defying authority for the right reasons, and secret alien threats. This film is a cheese fest with wooden acting, bad CGI and empty sets that make it feel like they ran out of money during production. The Ben 10 franchise didn't deserve this. I remember when I was a kid and Ben 10 was huge. I've always wondered why they went the made for TV route instead of making a proper film for cinemas, BIG missed opportunity. See more J. N 07/24/2024 This Movie is Ass, worse than the Emoji Movie. If you watch this you WILL get AIDS See more Hayden E 01/21/2024 Looking back, it certainly has the 2000's charm to it, the casting matches the cartoon to a T, and we get to see our favorite aliens in live action. Is the story the best? No? Are the effects? Not really. Is it a fun watch? To me, absolutely. See more Read all reviews
